When I was younger, my greatest aspiration was to be a mother. In fact, that’s all I wanted to be. …

Sometimes feels like you barely get a breath before the next wave of stress is taking you over. I haven't had the strength to clean, or tidy, or do any of the projects needed around the house and it's hard not to get down on yourself about it all.

One day at a time. Do what you can with what you have. Hoping this reaches whoever needs to see it today.

Trying to find those moments of beauty and 'bright Trying to find those moments of beauty and 'bright' during the dull winter blues? Even taking half a second to look up and spy that perfect moon in the evening sky can be enough of a reminder that there's gratitudes everywhere when you look for them. How I'm feeling today! .. Sometimes it's terrifyin How I'm feeling today!
..
Sometimes it's terrifying to make the jump, to push ourselves to leap when we are afraid of whether we will land, or fall. But fear is a paralytic and we can stay stuck in our 'comfort' zones. Because they are just that - comfortable!
..
Pain and fear can be a precursor for growth. We can learn so much about ourselves or go past our self imposed limits and for once be more than we think we can be. You'll never know unless you try! ..
Prove yourself wrong today. Try something new. Risk a little. Make some magic.

This is a precious picture to me. The lighting is This is a precious picture to me. The lighting is terrible. It's really not Instagram worthy. I'm positive my hair is not done, my face is bare and I'm possibly drooling/being drooled on by my toddler, but do you know why I love this photo so much?
..
Because I'm in it. ..
This is a rare shot taken by my husband and my heart swells at the thought he made sure to capture this moment, because for once I'm in front of the camera instead of behind it. ..
So many of us Mamas are the family historian, keeping track of all the moments of our kids lives in pictures and memories and so rarely are we actually seen in them.
..
I love that there's a record of me, tired and napping with my fussy child. It makes me feel seen. It makes me feel like I'm a part of the tapestry of our lives, not just the one trying to immortalize it for others to see.
..
So partners: take the photo. Take tons of photos. Candids. Ask them to pose. Low light, good light, no light. It doesn't matter. Make us visible.

Wearing a bracelet, charm, band or a watch can sometimes help! This is just a small collection of the jewelry I wear on a regular basis that helps calm those little nervous movements I get caught in, especially while waiting. A beaded bracelet like those shown can be spun, counted, or rubbed to keep your hands busy. Some even have lava stones for use with essential oils that can offer great benefit for aromatherapy!
.
Or even a bracelet with an encouraging message can be a reminder to catch yourself and make a change!

Breathe in, notice the air in your lungs, and then let it all out. 😮‍💨 Even 2 minutes of mindful breathing (That's about 12 breaths) can have a huge impact on your mental health - it reduces anxiety, improves your mood, balances your nervous system and even helps you think more clearly!

So pause - breathe - and then go kick butt this week! 💪
